Maple

Maple is hard, strong, heavy, even, fine texture. The fine, even texture of maple and its high luster make this hardwood a popular species for interior doors and millwork. It also includes curly grain patterns and mineral streaks.

Alder

A cost-effective wood species. Used to mimic cherry and maple to color coordinate with both wood cabinet species.

It is a popular species for both interior doors and millwork.

Paint Grade Poplar

Poplar is an excellent wood for painted interior doors and millwork because of its smooth grain, cost effectiveness, and dense qualities in comparison to MDF doors. It allows for paint to adhere evenly for a flawless finish, holding up beautifully over time.

Hickory

Hickory is strong, straight or wavy grain. Finished hickory has a hard surface and a good luster can be achieved. At Hilltop we use stains to emphasize the open grain patterns.

Red Oak

Red oak is an American classic when it comes to interior doors and millwork. Red oak heartwood is a light to medium brown, often with a reddish cast. It is a very hard and tough variety with a straight grain that has a coarse and uneven texture. Often paired to match the same red oak cabinetry
